Kyleigh Poppelreiter

Recently one of our employees heard a story on the radio about a local little girl with an amazing family who has undergone 3 open heart surgeries among several other emergency operations.  We reached out to the family, and they shared their incredible story with us.  Kyleigh is a beautiful two year old little girl.

Catholic Charities

Sandestin Foundation for Kids has recently partnered with the local chapter of Catholic Charities to do some amazing work in our surrounding areas.  The foundation was made aware of some critical needs of families across the panhandle of Florida.  Catholic Charities has food banks set up in the major cities such as Pensacola, Fort Walton

Special Olympics Florida – Walton County

In April, the Special Olympics in Walton County hosted the first annual “Duck Olympics” in Seaside, FL.  People had the opportunity to adopt a rubber duck for $5 and then enter it in a race in a giant lazy river.  There were 5,000 ducks available and people won incredible prizes such as a Yolo Board,

Launch Party for shopsandestin.com

On June 11th, Sandestin hosted a launch party for the new website, shopsandestin.com, where our guests can shop for their coveted retail items from the comfort of their homes.  The event had live music, food and cocktails and was a huge success!  10% of all of the proceeds from that event, both in the stores

The Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort recently held the 13th annual Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic.  The event hosted close to 80 boats in the 5-day event.  Because of the beautiful backdrop and the large potential purse money, the event brought in thousands of people and gave an amazing opportunity for the foundation to raise awareness

The Gift of Clean Clothes in Panama

The Sandestin Foundation for Kids recently donated the funds to purchase two desperately needed washing machines for Casa Hogar Trisker, an orphanage in Panama. Baby Lincoln

Baby Lincoln Brown was born October 21, 2014 to a family from Santa Rosa Beach, FL. He was born with a condition known as transposition of the great vessels. He was life-flighted to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, AL where they performed open heart surgery. The surgery went well, but shortly after they removed his ventilator,

Orphanage Renovation in Panama

The teen girls dormitory addition at Casa Hogar Triskar orphanage in Panama that the Sandestin Foundation for Kids funded is finished and the girls are excited to move in! This will give them much more space and privacy from the boys.
