In April, the Special Olympics in Walton County hosted the first annual “Duck Olympics” in Seaside, FL.  People had the opportunity to adopt a rubber duck for $5 and then enter it in a race in a giant lazy river.  There were 5,000 ducks available and people won incredible prizes such as a Yolo Board, free stay in Water Color, round trip airline tickets and much, much more.  The event included music, refreshment and activities for the kids.  It was a huge success with all 5,000 ducks being sold!

There is no need to tell you the wonderful work that the Special Olympics does.  Sandestin Foundation for Kids was able to be a “Pool Peeps” corporate sponsor by donating $5,000 to the organization.  We are honored to be a part of our local chapter and hope to continue to be partners with them well into the future!
